atelier house

as the world was recovering from the covid pandemic, many had to rethink our relationship with the connection of work and life. the home office became a dominant work form and the balance of our professional and private lives had to be maintained. our task was, to create a house on a large scale that tackles that issue in an atelier house. a clear spatial answer to a universal problem. my solution was to create a farming community. six houses, all with pitched roofs that were located around a central market. the houses were parted in two with living towards the courtyard and the stables and fields towards the outside. to enter the market one would have to take a right turn, as I wanted to make it less visible to visitors.
